To meet the social care needs of the most vulnerable members of the community by making the best of available resources to provide a range of quality services that safeguard and support them in maintaining, as far as possible, an ordinary pattern of life within the community.

To enable people affected by mental health problems to live as independant and fulfilled lives as possible.

Service Objectives

To help restrict the development and consequence of mental illness by ensuring effective treatment, care and support for people so affected.

To assist in the development of community based services with other statutory and voluntary bodies.

To promote the involvement of service users and carers in the planning and delivery of services.

To promote the role of specialist social work as having a unique contribution to make to the developing multi-disciplinary mental health services.
