Confidentiality
Due to the work which is undertaken by the CDAT which is highly personal, there are strict guidelines to ensure that your confidentiality is maintained. These guidelines will be discussed fully with you at the onset of your assessment in line with Swansea NHS Trust Policies.
What can you do?
We do not want you to stop taking all of your drugs before your appointment as this could be very dangerous. We would however request that you minimise the amount of drugs and/or alcohol that you take before your
appointment . We would ask that you take just enough to avoid feeling unwell because of withdrawal symptons. If you are intoxicated when you attend for assessment, you will be asked to leave and given a further appointment date. This will cause a delay to your assessment and your future treatment will be delayed. |
